The EU representative is designated under article 27 GDPR because the company sits outside the European Economic Area and offers this service to people inside it. Anyone in Europe may address that representative instead of the company, and is not obliged to pursue a company abroad.

We publish short literal quotations of already-published journalism — at most 300 characters per sentence — always linked to the original, together with documents and with the reply of the person or company named.

We do not host, mirror or reproduce whole articles. Quotation for the purpose of analysis and criticism is permitted under article 32 of the Spanish copyright act, under fair use in the United States, and under equivalent provisions elsewhere; the limits we impose on ourselves are stricter than any of them require.

Documents uploaded by the people involved are their material. We show them because they are the evidence for a claim, and we remove personal data that is not needed to understand the case.

Anyone named in a case has the right of reply, at no cost, in the same place and with the same prominence as the sentence about them. That right is exercised through the site itself, and it does not require our agreement.

Write to legal@reply.press with the link, the exact sentence and what is wrong about it. We answer within 5 working days.

If the notice is right, we correct it and record the change publicly. If we disagree, we say why, in writing, and the fact that you asked is published alongside the case.

The quotations on this site are ours to publish under the right of quotation, and every one of them links to the original. The documents are uploaded by the people involved, who tell us on upload that they hold the rights to them. If you believe something here infringes a copyright you own, tell us and we will look at it.

Send the notice to legal@reply.press with: the work you say was copied, the exact address on this site where it appears, your contact details, a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised, a statement that the information is accurate and that you are the rights holder or act for them, and your signature. Notices that identify a page but not the material cannot be acted on, and we will say so rather than remove a whole case.

We remove or disable what a valid notice identifies, and we tell whoever uploaded it, who may answer. If the answer holds up, the material goes back and both the complaint and the answer are recorded. Accounts that repeatedly upload other people's material are closed.

We answer for what we write. The published quotation belongs to the outlet that published it and links to it. A reply belongs to whoever signed it and is published unedited.

The site is published from outside the European Economic Area but is aimed at readers in Spain and elsewhere in Europe, so European consumer and data protection rules apply to those readers regardless of where the company sits. Nothing here removes a consumer's right to bring a claim before the courts of their own country, or to be heard under the mandatory rules of the place where they live.

For everything else the law of Wyoming, United States applies, and disputes go to the courts there.
